The Founder

Shahir Anuar Bin Shahrani

Portfolio assessment · Simultaneous Architectural / Systemic-T Polymath

Shahir Anuar Bin Shahrani is the founder of Polymath Nexus Consultancy and a prominent Malaysian pharmacist whose work spans pharmaceutical care, medicine-device invention, digital health, pharmacy innovation, intellectual property, public service and strategic and social-impact advising. He serves as National Secretary of the Malaysian Mensa Society for 2026/2027 and is the author and independent publisher of MERCY, his first book, written in English, his second language.

His professional and creative work brings together safer medicine use, practical technology, public service, inclusion and stories shaped by faith and compassion. Through MERCY, The Guide Initiative and the Initiative for Those Who Come After, he supports conversations about children’s development, neurodivergence, faith and the role of families and communities.

Across all 19 profile points, the strongest professional depth is pharmacy. Device invention, clinical software and research show applied technical work; MERCY, its reading guide, advisory projects and institutional roles extend the portfolio into creative and organisational practice. The 2015–2025 outputs form a serial development, while the profile describes public-service pharmacy overlapping with 2026 publishing, advisory and leadership activity. This supports a simultaneous current pattern with a longer serial foundation. The linked portfolio review assesses every numbered point without treating each role as a separate mastered field.

01Inventor of a medicine-preparation device

Malaysian patent MY197771A names Shahir as a co-inventor of a tablet grinding and mixing device designed to help turn tablets into a liquid medicine. Separately, the Ministry of Health’s 2019 technical report describes the E-Mix portable medicine mixer as the world’s first portable medicine-mixing machine. These records support his work in medicine preparation and device innovation.

03Founder of Mercy Series Global

Mercy Series Global is the subcompany of Polymath Consultancy Firm. It was established by the founder as the global donation arm for its parent company. It has provided free books to multiple foreign Muslim institutions in 13 countries. It has also proposed to major countries royalty free publishing rights or 100% profit from MERCY sales in that country.

04Pharmacist and medicine-safety innovator

The Malaysian Mensa Society describes Shahir as a prominent Malaysian pharmacist. He developed Warfarin Dosing HTK, a digital tool for clinical warfarin dose support. A Ministry of Health recognition record lists the Warfarin Dosing HTK Android Application among award-winning pharmacy innovation projects.

05Social entrepreneurship

A 30 December 2016 letter from Malaysia’s Ministry of Finance records his entry as one of the Top 20 consolation-prize winners in the National Blue Ocean Strategy Competition (NBOSC). The letter documents this competition recognition; it does not imply that the proposal became government policy.

06Environmental advocate through MyMediSAFE

Shahir has contributed to advocacy for the safe disposal of unused medicines and environmental protection. The MyMediSAFE Innovation Challenge 2025 recognized a medicine-disposal proposal. The initiative’s official materials describe the wider effort to reduce environmental harm from medicines; this profile does not claim he founded the programme.

07Twice-exceptionality and inclusion advocate

Through public communication and his writing, Shahir advocates for greater understanding of twice-exceptional (2e) people, neurodiversity and the support needs of young people and families. This is advocacy and storytelling, not a claim to provide diagnosis or clinical treatment.

08Islamic storytelling and faith-centered advocacy

MERCY is an illustrated Islamic story about Zayd and his father, Khalid. It explores neurodivergence, faith, self-worth and the ways children, families and faith communities can each contribute to a child’s development. Shahir is not an Ustaz and has no formal training in teaching religion; he writes as a Muslim author sharing a personal, faith-centered story, not as a religious authority.

09Author and independent publisher

MERCY was Shahir’s first book, written in English, his second language. Amazon category screenshots captured on 28 October 2026 showed MERCY as #1 New Release in Children’s Islam Books and #2 Best Seller in Children’s Islam Books (Top 100 Paid). Amazon rankings change frequently; these captures record the positions shown at that time. He independently publishes the illustrated story for young readers and families. Its themes include dignity, faith, learning differences and compassion. The official book website, www.mercyseries.com, provides the synopsis, reading guide, why it matters, and summary.

10Independent Strategic and Social Impact Advisor

Shahir has worked as an advisor and consultant for a number of companies, with the most recent being Goolee Sdn Bhd, a Malaysian Edu-tech and learning innovation company that helps companies, government agencies, schools, educators and communities turn ideas and capability gaps into educational games, digital products, professional training and inclusive learning experiences. Goolee has won numerous awards, including the Malaysia TVET & Education Award 2024 and the Gold Award at the International Invention, Innovation, Technology, Competition & Exhibition (ITEX 2025). Many of Shahir’s current projects, including his MERCY book and the establishment of Polymath Nexus Consultancy, were inspired by the company and its work supporting underserved communities. He is an apprentice of Goolee Sdn Bhd’s founder, Dr. Kamarulzzaman Bin Ahmad, and hopes to return the favour one day.

11National leadership at Malaysian Mensa

He serves as National Secretary of the Malaysian Mensa Society for 2026/2027. The society’s National Committee profile describes him as a prominent Malaysian pharmacist and innovator.

12Copyright record for Warfarin Dosing HTK

13Independent strategic and impact advisor

Alongside his public-service pharmacy work, Shahir undertakes independent strategic and social-impact advisory. His professional contact page provides the current profile and enquiry route for advisory and collaboration work.

15Education, accessible design and public policy

His advocacy includes accessible learning, inclusive design and child wellbeing. He has drafted and shared proposals on children’s mental health and education, including the Initiative for Those Who Come After and the proposed National Initiative for Malaysian Children’s Minds. These documents are proposals; this profile does not represent them as adopted policy or delivered programmes.

16Founder of Polymath Nexus Consultancy

Shahir founded Polymath Nexus Consultancy to bring together people whose different fields of knowledge can help address complex challenges. The firm’s method is to connect expertise and turn it into practical, inclusive work for future generations. His own portfolio spans pharmacy practice and research, medicine-device invention, digital health, publishing, education, strategic advice, institutional leadership and social-impact initiatives. The numbered entries on this page show where that work developed concurrently, where it unfolded in sequence, and how ideas were connected through tools, services, stories and learning resources. His concerns about young people and digital media remain his perspective, not established predictions. Read the consultancy’s founding purpose and areas of expertise.

17International Foreign Company Representative

Shahir reports contacting Nikoli Co., Ltd. (Nikoli.co), the Japanese puzzle company associated with Sudoku, and brokering a collaboration for Nikoli to develop a digital board game in exchange for rights to the Numberlink game. This is his account of the role and agreement terms. Nikoli’s public puzzle information and the store listing establish the puzzle and a digital product, but do not independently verify his role or the agreement terms.

18For Those Who Come After

The Initiative for Those Who Come After began with Shahir’s question about what children learn when attention is continually pulled toward screens and families have less time for reflection together. He treats the possibility of declining empathy and moral attention as a working concern. His blueprint links several kinds of work around a practical aim: make room for patience, belonging, faith and shared responsibility in the lives of children and those who care for them.

As an independent strategic and social-impact adviser to Goolee Sdn Bhd, he sought educational and inclusive forms of play that invite cooperation, reasoning and perseverance. He also reports contacting Nikoli, the Japanese puzzle publisher associated with Sudoku, and brokering a proposed digital-game collaboration involving Numberlink rights. Expanding access to such games in Asia was an aim of the partnership, not a measured outcome reported here.

In parallel, he wrote and independently published MERCY internationally as a story through which families can discuss Allah’s mercy, self-worth, learning differences and compassion. An Amazon Hot New Releases screenshot captured on 28 October 2026 showed it as #1 New Release in Children’s Islam Books. A same-day Amazon Best Sellers screenshot showed it as #2 Best Seller in Children’s Islam Books (Top 100 Paid); rankings change frequently, and these captures record the positions at that time. Shahir describes a quieter teaching method beneath the story: return to a moment and ask how its meaning changes when viewed from another field. The free MERCY Reading Guide maps 86 chapter-specific discussion threads and lets readers revisit each through six lenses—science, history, psychology, ethics, faith and art. The 86 threads are the guide’s editorial map, rather than a list printed in the book. He designed this as a practice in polymathic thinking for Muslim families and hopes the habit of connecting faith and inquiry will reach families around the world and pass to later generations. He intends the method as a lasting contribution to his faith; that legacy remains a hope rather than an observed result. He also describes giving copies to some institutions and approaching Muslim organisations overseas about wider access. The outreach is an action; its long-term effect on readers remains unmeasured.

Shahir says he returned to the Malaysian Mensa Society seeking a role through which he could connect people and resources for the initiative. He later became National Secretary for 2026/2027. He describes two related aims: strengthen support for gifted children, including work he envisaged with former chair Tan Kee Aun, and bring people with different expertise together. He went on to found Polymath Nexus Consultancy with colleagues whose work spans youth leadership, management, education technology and public health. The longer ambition is to connect specialist knowledge across fields and reduce the isolation of twice-exceptional young people. The existing roles and projects are recorded here; the wider cultural change remains an aspiration.

Early responses from organisations in Australia and Canada have been encouraging. The National Zakat Foundation’s New South Wales service manager suggested a possible connection with the United Muslims of Australia’s children’s programmes, where there may be an opportunity to read MERCY. Al-Ma’arif Special Education described the themes as meaningful and welcomed the book as a possible resource for families and educators. These messages show interest and encouragement; they do not establish formal adoption or measured impact.

19The Guide Initiative

The Guide Initiative connects The Guide in the MERCY series, its free six-lens reading guide, the digital reader and opportunities for community participation. It is a practical strand of For Those Who Come After, joining learning, access and inclusive enterprise within one system.

How it works

Families and educators can use the free MERCY Reading Guide to revisit 86 story threads through science, history, psychology, ethics, faith and art. The digital reader gives the story an app-based route. In Malaysia, adults can register as affiliates without a recruitment fee or an app purchase. Every registered affiliate receives one free personal app copy, a personal identifier and access to their sharing tools.

The special community routes connect access with earning opportunities. After private eligibility verification and owner approval, approved OKU affiliates, active KKM staff, and active students or staff of UiTM’s Faculty of Pharmacy can receive 100% of verified clean profit from eligible subsequent affiliate sales; the publisher receives RM0 from those eligible sales. Clean profit is calculated after actual payment-processing fees and confirmed applicable tax, with refunds and disputes accounted for under the programme terms. It is not a promise of earnings or 100% of the selling price.

When

The affiliate and community-access website features were implemented and deployed during –, Malaysia time. The initiative brings these features together with the existing reading guide and digital reader, connecting the 2026 publishing and learning work with a route for sharing, access and participation.

Where and who can participate

The initiative is based in Malaysia and delivered online through mercyseries.com. The Malaysian programme has dedicated routes for:

These are independently operated MERCY programmes for eligible participants, rather than programmes administered or endorsed by KKM or UiTM. The reading resource is accessible online internationally, alongside outreach to organisations overseas. Outreach, confirmed participation and measured outcomes are recorded separately.

Why it is a system

The story supplies a shared starting point; the six-lens guide structures inquiry; the reader delivers access; and the affiliate routes connect local sharing with an earning mechanism. Registration, verification, personal links, issued coupons and support provide the operating structure. Together, they show the design of an ecosystem around a learning resource. Public programme pages establish the available routes; participant numbers, actual earnings and educational effects need separate outcome records.

The Guide Initiative

The Guide Initiative connects The Guide in the MERCY series, its free six-lens reading guide, the digital reader and opportunities for community participation. It is a practical strand of For Those Who Come After, joining learning, access and inclusive enterprise within one system.

Learning, access and community participation

With affiliate and community-access features rolled out on 31 October–1 November 2026, the initiative brings together the MERCY story, its free reading guide, digital access and free Malaysian affiliate registration. Approved OKU affiliates, active KKM staff, and active UiTM Faculty of Pharmacy students and staff can receive 100% of verified clean profit from eligible sales after private proof approval.
